Great Neck
Archaic period remains for four archaeological periods were discovered “in mass” and excavated by archaeologist Floyd Painter and his associates in the Great Neck area. The Woodland period remains were from the village of the Chesapeakes, who inhabited the area before the 1607 first landing.
