Linwood and Elizabeth Cherry purchased 3 Cottages at 30th and Artic Avenue in 1948. Through the years they built more cottages. they bought more property - corner of 30th and Baltic, Meeks Motel on the North East corner of 30th and Artic, a house at 317 29th street, and later 313 & 315 29th Street.
